This spot may be found in the Mie Prefecture within the vicinity of Toba City, Japan.

To start off, let us talk about the first attraction named Kokichi Mikimoto Memorial Hall. Kokichi Mikimoto is the legendary man who brought the pearl industry of this island to a boom. He was so engaged in pearls that he discovered an innovative way to cultivate them, which got him an award during the year 1908. His successful story is remembered in this memorial hall.

The second attraction is the Pearl Museum which offers a lot of lovely items. The most famous ones are the Mikimoto Pagoda, Himeji Castle, Pearl Crown 2 and the Liberty Bell. Mikimoto Pagoda composes of 12,760 pearls. Himeji Castle composes of 19,000 pearls, 447 diamonds, 36 sapphires, and gold and platinum varnish. Pearl Crown 2 composes of 797 pearls and 17 diamonds. Liberty Bell composes of 12,250 pearls and 366 diamonds.

The third attraction is the Woman Diver or Ama San Pearl Diver Stand. In here, there are exhibitions on how woman divers brave the deep blue water, while wearing the original white diving suit.

Last but not the least, the fourth attraction is the Pearl Plaza. If you are itching to bring home pearls for yourself or friends, there is a shop in this area where you can purchase a variety of pearl jewelry.  Buying a souvenir is the best way to cap off your adventure to Mikimoto Pearl Island.
